Interested in making a difference this New Year? It's on Boomcast's list of resolutions. We know you have the heart, but we also understand the struggle of relentless busy schedules. If you find making a difference falls to the bottom of your to-do list simply out of lack of room in your day, don't fret! We have compiled a list of a few low effort, high reward ways you can make an impact. Let's work together to make the world a better place.
#1: Salvation Army
Cleaning out your house this new year? Without having to leave your home, you can donate your unwanted goods to families in need through the Salvation Army. On their website is a list of items they could use including clothing, furniture, appliances, books, and more. They’ll send someone to pick up whatever it is you want to donate, and you are still eligible for tax deduction.

#2: Children International
Children International is a non-profit organization that allows you to sponsor a child. These children are living in families with low incomes, often not receiving the care and education they need. For only $28 a month, Children International will provide health and dental care, medicine and nutritional support, and basic necessities like sturdy shoes and clothing, school uniforms, tuition or supplies so that poverty doesn’t stand in the way of his or her education. Even more, if the child is of a certain age, they will be able to attend to a world-class Youth Program with activities designed to help support and mentor children.
Your support is billed automatically each month to your account, so there is little effort on your part. You also receive updates about your sponsored child so you can see just how much of an impact your help is making.

#3: Heifer International
The Heifer society’s goal is a big one: to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth. Based on the “teach a man to fish” philosophy, the organization allows you to donate an animal to a family in need, creating lasting change in people’s lives. The organization also runs projects encouraging women’s empowerment, sustainable farming, and projects by artisans from around the world
The Passing on the Gift Model allows for things to continue even further, by the first offspring of the livestock from a beneficiary being given to other families in need within their communities. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving.
